Meet Our Team

Tad Torgerson, CPA

Tad joined Stallard & Associates in September, 2013. He has a diverse background in the areas of accounting, tax, budget, and management. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Executive Budget Analyst with the North Dakota Office of Management and Budget (Governor’s Budget Office), Vice President for Finance and Administration at Miles Community College, Staff Accountant at a local CPA firm, and an Auditor with the North Dakota State Auditor’s Office. Tad has an Associate of Arts Degree from Miles Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree from Dickinson State University, and a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Montana.  He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1999.  Tad is happily married to his college sweetheart Rene and has three teenage children; Ray, Olivia, and Emily.  Family time is devoted to kid's activities, sports, music, and barrel racing.

Ginger Carpani
​Staff Accountant 

Ginger was raised in Baker, MT. She attended college at Montana State University-Billings and graduated with a degree in Accounting. She worked in private accounting in Payroll and as an assistant Controller in Billings until 2009, when she moved to Miles City to become a Controller for a local business. In 2013 Ginger joined the team at Stallard & Associates. Ginger is married to Adam, who is a Mill Operator at Stillwater Mine in Nye, and together they have 2 boys, Wyatt and McKade. As a family they enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping. 

Derrick Tvedt
​Staff Accountant

​Derrick joined Stallard & Associates in August, 2021.  Prior to joining the firm, he spent 25 years in the field of education as a teacher, coach, and administrator.  He has an Associate's degree from Central Wyoming College, a Bachelor's degree from Dickinson State University, and a Master's degree from Concordia University Wisconsin.  Derrick is married to Garryn, who is a Director of Operations for AgWest Farm Credit, and together they have two sons, Dalton and Deegan.  Derrick enjoys spending time with his family, and is devoted to his son's activities.  

Mary Schaefer
Staff Accountant

Mary was born and raised in Miles City.  She is a graduate of Custer County District High School and Miles Community College.  She completed an Associates Degree in Business Management, while competing on the rodeo team at MCC.  She is proud to be the daughter of rodeo legend, Casper Schaefer and maintains her ties to her rodeo heritage by announcing local events.  When Mary isn't at work or a rodeo, she is at home raising red angus cattle.  
Alandra Hill - Office Manager
Alandra was raised on a wheat farm outside of Big Sandy, Montana, in the heart of the Golden Triangle.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at National College in Rapid City, SD.  In 1992, Alandra and Bill settled in Miles City.  They have one daughter, Savannah, who lives in Great Falls with husband Joseph.  Alandra served as a Girl Scout leader for several years, as well as a 5th & 6th grade basketball coach.  Her interests include gardening, jig saw puzzles, and spending time with family.

Mya Myer
Staff Accountant
Mya was raised on a farm/ranch in southwestern North Dakota. She has an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Rasmussen University and has been working in the field since graduating in 2024. Outside of the office you can find her playing music with her siblings and local bands or out riding horses and ranching.

Rychele Markuson
Staff Accountant
Rychele joined Stallard & Associates in December 2025.  She attended college at Montana State University-Billings and graduated with a degree in Accounting.  Rychele is married to Chase and they have 2 dogs and a cat. Rychele’s free time is spent with her family and friends (including the dogs), reading, and going to concerts.
